I've always suspected that my obsessions are destined to become pop-culture trends...it's only a matter of time before the rest of the world catches up! But I must admit, I'm so enjoying the current craze for Pirates. I mean, I've always known they were kinda hot, but blame it on Johnny Depp for making them utterly shaggable!

I doubt most pirates would make very good long-term boyfriends though, and then there's the scurvy and hygiene issues...but I'm sure they compensate in other ways...like boddice-ripping! and ravishment! I imagine it wouldn't be much different than dating a rock star. Actually, pirates and rock stars have a lot in common! (I mean, besides sporting leather and STDs.)

But I don't wanna be anybody's wench or damsel-in-distress. I'll commandeer my own damn ship!

Most pirate costumes look really cheesey, but once in a while somebody gets the mystique and sex-appeal just right - oh, what I wouldn't give for that guy to show up at my door this Halloween begging for candy! And check out this girl's hilarious encounter with a hot karaoke-singing Captain Jack!
